Gone are the days that only men went to war, now, Former Miss Ukraine Anastasia Lenna has taken up arms to defend her country.
Anastasia Lenna is not only a beauty with brains but a beauty in army boots and an assault rifle as she trains for the frontline to battle invading Russian troops.
Anastasia, who won the crown at the Miss Grand International Beauty contest in 2015, issued a chilling threat on her Instagram. She wrote: “Everyone who crosses the Ukrainian border with the intent to invade will be killed!”
Her warning was accompanied by a photo of her comrades blocking a road in the under-siege eastern European nation.
In another post, she praised the Ukrainian army, claiming they are fighting so well that “Nato should apply for entry into Ukraine “.
In one photo, soldiers walk beside President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with Anastasia calling him a “true and strong leader” in her caption.
Since the launch of the invasion last week, the model has shared a string of posts on her Instagram story urging support and soliciting donations to the Ukrainian armed forces.
The marketing and management graduate from Slavistik University in Kyiv has posted several photos on her page in the past showing her wielding airsoft guns in full military garb in wooded areas for sport.
She had previously worked as a model and a public relations manager in Turkey, according to her Miss Grand International profile, a whole world away from the violence of the battlefield. She also speaks five languages and has worked as a translator.
