The annual Pizza and Wine Festival has been postponed from August 7 to October 2021.
This year’s edition was dubbed the Kitenge Edition and slated to go down at The Waterfront, Karen. The edition’s goal is ‘’to give fans, families, couples, urban young adults an opportunity to experience the best wine and pizza pairings, Kenyan made products and enjoy Africa’s celebrated music hits in a relaxed atmosphere. All this while celebrating the beauty and versatility of the African Kitenge fabric.’’
Nigerian singer Omah Lay was bound headline the gig. The Kenyan performers in the line up included Nadia Mukami, Nikita Kering’ and Brandy Maina, Nviiri and Bensoul. The organisers arrived at the decision to reschedule the event after Health CS Mutahi Kagwe’s directive to restrict all public gatherings following a supposed spike in the Covid-19 cases in the country.

In the same breath, DJ Pierra’s Park and Chill event was controversially cancelled over the weekend. The homecoming-themed for the DJ was slated for Saturday 31 at the ASK Grounds in Meru but got cancelled last minute after orders to stop the event were allegedly issued by the county government.
