African Stars Burna Boy, Busiswa, Rema, Tems And More Shine On The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Soundtrack

Top African stars led by Grammy award winning artist Burna Boy and Rema have been featured on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.

The full track-listing for ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From And Inspired By’ has been unveiled following the release of ‘Lift Me Up’ by Rihanna.

Burna Boy comes through with a solo track titled ‘Alone’ while fast rising Nigerian superstar Rema makes two appearances on Bloody Civilian’s ‘Wake Up’ and Alemán’s Pantera.

The official soundtrack also features songs by Tems with a wonderful rendition of Bob Marley’s ‘No woman, No Cry’, Fireboy DML, Ckay, and South African music queen Busiswa.

London rapper Stormzy appears on ‘Interlude’. Hip-hop legend Future also features on the track ‘Limoncello’ by OG Dayv.

Composer Ludwig Göransson, who worked with the Marvel movie’s director Ryan Coogler on the soundtrack, told Pitchfork: “Thematically, we wanted to move the audience from grief to celebration. When you listen to the soundtrack, you can close your eyes and relive the experience of the movie. That was the intention.”

The emotional ‘Lift Me Up’ is a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who played the titular character in the first film.

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ hits theatres on November 11.
