Popular Kenyan actress Winnie Ndubi Bwire has passed away while undergoing cancer treatment in Turkey.
Her family announced her death on Thursday morning, September 5th, 2024.
“With heavy hearts and in humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Winfred Bwire Ndubi, who succumbed to cancer while receiving treatment in Turkey,” read the family’s statement.
Winnie had been battling breast cancer for the last couple of years and was vocal about her journey.
The family expressed their deep gratitude for the immense support, prayers, and generosity shown during her battle with the illness. “We appreciate the overwhelming support, and we will provide further details in due course,” they added.
Winnie’s passing comes just weeks after she made a public appeal for financial assistance to continue her treatment.
