Lupita Nyong’o is a Kenyan-Mexican actress, producer, and author. She has achieved major milestones in her career since her claim to fame in Hollywood in 2013.
She studied film and theater at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. She also enrolled in the Yale School of Drama, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting.

In 2019, Lupita wrote a children’s book titled ‘Sulwe,’ which tells the story of a young girl who learns to love herself and her dark skin. The book was a New York Times bestseller and won several awards, including the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Children’s Literary Work.
Lupita is also known for her advocacy work, particularly in the areas of women’s rights and environmental conservation. She has been a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador since 2014 and has spoken out against sexual harassment and assault in the entertainment industry.
