Verto launches Atlas Suite to power cross-border payments in Africa

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 8 – Global B2B payments platform Verto has unveiled the Atlas Suite, a next-generation suite of API-first embedded finance solutions designed to simplify cross-border transactions for fintechs, digital marketplaces, and platforms.

Built with scalability and compliance in mind, the Atlas Suite enables businesses to integrate banking, foreign exchange, and payment services through a single API. It is available to clients worldwide, with a strong focus on supporting Africa’s growing digital economy.

Africa’s financial landscape continues to face challenges including fragmented ecosystems, regulatory complexity, limited access to banking services, and currency volatility. Verto says Atlas directly addresses these hurdles by providing instant access to local accounts, deep FX liquidity, and infrastructure supporting 49 currencies across multiple markets.

“We have witnessed the hurdles businesses face in scaling operations across borders, especially in African markets. Atlas is a transformative solution built to eliminate these challenges and accelerate growth,” said Ola Oyetayo, CEO and Co-founder of Verto.

The Atlas Suite is designed to serve different categories of businesses. For fintechs, digital banks, and financial institutions, it enables seamless integration of Verto’s banking, FX, and payments infrastructure without requiring local licensing or in-house system development. This allows clients to open local virtual accounts in more than 12 African markets, execute real-time FX across 49 currencies, and send payments to over 100 countries.

For non-financial platforms such as e-commerce, logistics, or travel tech providers, Atlas makes it possible to embed financial services directly into their products without managing regulatory or technical complexity. It also offers an end-to-end white label service for brokers, enabling them to provide branded cross-border financial services while setting pricing and generating new revenue streams without heavy operational costs.

Kenya’s tech sector is already taking advantage of the innovation. Triply, a Nairobi-based travel-tech company, is among the early adopters. By integrating Atlas, Triply can offer embedded multi-currency payment solutions to travel businesses across Africa, reducing transaction costs, speeding up payments, and staying fully compliant.

The Atlas Suite also features local collection accounts, centralized treasury tools, and last-mile payouts via bank transfers and mobile money—capabilities designed to meet Africa’s needs for payroll, remittances, and bulk payments.

With the launch, Verto is positioning itself as a key driver of Africa’s digital transformation, breaking down financial barriers and enabling businesses to scale across borders.
