Trump’s higher tariffs kick in, including 104% for China

APRIL 9 – It’s just gone past midnight in Washington DC. This means US President Donald Trump’s higher tariffs for goods imported from about 60 countries – which he has called the “worst offenders” – have kicked in.

These include a 104% tariff on China, following tit-for-tat levies imposed by the two superpowers. We’re waiting to see how Beijing reacts.
