NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 28 – A 35-year-old woman from Trans Nzoia County has been arrested for the murder of her ten-year-old son.
Authorities say the boy who went missing yesterday at about 1.00pm was caned by his mother when he returned later on.
She told the police officers that after taking supper, they went to sleep and the following morning found him dead.
The Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Saboti Police Station, his team and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers later rushed to the scene and processed it.
“Fearing for her life, she come to report at the station. After being interrogated by ocs crime she was placed in custody to charged with the offence of murder. Scene has been visited by officers from this station,” read a police report obtained by Capital FM news.
The boy’s body has been preserved at Kitale referral hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
