Samsung, Loop team up to offer affordable device security for Kenyan firms

NAIROBI, Kenya, Sept 17 – Kenyan businesses will now be able to access Samsung’s Knox platform under a flexible financing model, following a partnership between Samsung Electronics East Africa and fintech firm Loop.

The Knox system provides a single dashboard for securing and managing corporate devices ranging from laptops and tablets to smartphones and rugged field devices. It is designed to guard against cyber threats while streamlining IT operations.

Through Loop, firms can acquire the platform without heavy upfront costs, instead paying through extended or seasonal plans tailored to their operations. This approach allows businesses to treat device security as a recurring expense rather than a capital burden.

Samsung says Knox is built on hardware-level security embedded in Galaxy devices, offering stronger protection against malware than software-only solutions. The system supports multiple operating systems, with features such as remote troubleshooting, security analytics, and unified endpoint management.

The financing options are already available and cover Knox’s full suite of services, including mobile enrolment, enterprise security, and asset intelligence.
