NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 24 – FKF Premier League side Kenya Police FC have moved to spice up their offensive options, with three additions to their roster in the January mid-season transfer window.
The side has brought on board midfielder Duncan Otieno, who returns to the club after a stint in Botswana, while they have also signed former Gor Mahia and Ulinzi Stars FC forward Sammy Onyango.
Onyango returns to the country after a stint in Zambia with Kabwe Warriors.
At the same time, the club have unveiled Tanzanian striker Rashid Mchelenga from Mwanza-based Pamba Jiji FC as they seek to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the second leg of the FKF Premier League.
Mchelenga has penned a two-year contract with the law enforcers after impressing over the last few days of training.
The three, especially with Onyango and Otieno’s FKF Premier League experience are set to bolster the team after a period of struggle, which saw them drop all the way to the bottom half of the standings.
Under coach Salim Babu, who took charge following the departure of Zdravko Logarusic, Police have won three matches in a row and are looking to continue with the run into the second leg.
Speaking previously, Babu said that his minimum target with the club was to finish in the top five.
