NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 1 – Integrated Payment Services Limited (IPSL), operators of Pesalink, has partnered with pan-African payments firm Cellulant to expand instant customer-to-business (C2B) payments in Kenya.
The integration links Pesalink’s network of more than 80 financial institutions—including 39 commercial banks, SACCOs, and fintechs—with Cellulant’s Tingg platform, enabling customers to pay merchants directly from their bank accounts.
The firms say the partnership addresses persistent challenges in digital payments such as delays, reconciliation errors, and limited options while promoting interoperability across Kenya’s financial system.
At checkout, customers can now pay up to Sh999,999 per transaction, with higher daily limits and instant confirmation features to reduce errors. Each transfer carries a unique reference number, ensuring funds are correctly matched to merchants and invoices.
Businesses on Cellulant’s platform benefit from faster settlements, fewer disputes, and more accurate reconciliation—an important shift for sectors such as travel and airlines, where high-value transactions are common.

Kenya’s digital payments market is projected to hit $9.36 billion (Sh1.4 trillion) in 2025, with mobile money accounting for $5.85 billion (Sh913 billion).
Pesalink currently processes Sh4 billion daily, with monthly volumes exceeding Sh110 billion—reflecting 41 percent year-on-year growth.
