NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 17 – Valentine’s Day 2026 saw thousands of Nairobians on the move, with Bolt ride data revealing Nyayo Stadium and major shopping malls as the city’s busiest destinations.
According to the mobility platform, Nyayo Stadium recorded over 4,000 rides to and from the venue on Valentine’s Day.
The surge followed the recently concluded HSBC SVNS rugby tournament, which attracted international teams and thousands of fans. Bolt, in partnership with Capital FM, served as the official mobility partner for the event.

Beyond the stadium, Nairobi’s top shopping and lifestyle hubs were also major hotspots. These included BBS Mall, Sarit Center, Garden City Mall, Thika Road Mall, Yaya Center, Eastleigh Mall, and Greenspan Mall, all reporting high ride volumes.
Other active locations included transport and business hubs such as Kenya National Archives, Afya Center, Imenti House, Odeon, and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), reflecting a mix of leisure, shopping, and last-minute Valentine’s travel.
Bolt’s data underscores the growing link between entertainment, social experiences, and urban mobility patterns. During peak demand periods, driver-partners maintained steady availability, ensuring affordable and reliable rides across Nairobi.
