NAIROBI, Kenya, Dec 26 – Services to the popular mobile money banking service M-Shwari have now been restored, this is according to Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) Group Managing Director Isaac Awuondo.

Awuondo confirmed the outage problem that began on Sunday at 10pm has been resolved and assured customers that normal services have been restored.

“We wish to advise that all M-Shwari services have now been fully restored following an outage which led to customers being unable to access services.”

“We have since resolved the technical issues and the M-Shwari customers are now able to transact normally,” he assured.

In a statement posted on its social media, the CBA Group MD apologised to customers who were affected during the outage.

“We deeply regret the inconvenience to our customers during the festive season and sincerely apologise for the disruption of service,” Awuondo added.

M-Shwari is a suite of banking products that are offered to customers through their handset.

The platform allows one access to deposit and loan products.
