NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 28 – Kenya’s inflation eased marginally to 4.5 percent in November from 4.6 percent in October, remaining well within the Central Bank of Kenya’s target band of 2.5 to 7.5 percent.
The slight drop was supported by lower prices of key household items, according to new data from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.
Last month, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed that the average price of a two-kilogram packet of maize flour fell from Sh172.41 in September to Sh168.56 in October, while the cost of kale dipped one percent to Sh91.56.
Beans declined by 0.6 percent to Sh180.99, and sugar prices eased by 0.5 percent, helping to stabilise overall food inflation.
