NAIROBI, Kenya May 5 – Former Capital FM Editor Rob Jillo has been appointed Director of Communication at the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
Jilo’s appointment was announced by the party’s Secretary General Cleophas Malala.
“We are thrilled to announce that Mr Rob Jillo has been appointed as the new party Director of Communication,” he said in a statement.
Malala said Jilo will be deputised by Benjamin Wandualo and Moses Njagi.
Wandualo will oversee Public Relations and Marketing while Njagi will be the Chief Editor responsible for messaging.
Yusuf Omete is the party’s new Head of Digital to be deputised by Antonella Kokuko.
“Together, these talented individuals bring a wealth of experience and extensive network in the media industry,” Malala said.
With Jilo’s leadership, Malala said, the party is confident of a sound communication strategy.
Rob has been working at the Miller and Miller Advocates after leaving Capital FM five years ago where he served as the Online Editor.
