NAIROBI, Kenya, June 26 – First Assurance has been recognized in four separate categories at the annual Think Business Insurance Awards, securing two top honors and two runner-up placements.
The annual Think Business Insurance Awards serve as a primary benchmark for corporate excellence in East Africa’s financial sector.
The event assesses companies on strict parameters of innovation, corporate governance, consumer education, and financial soundness. First Assurance was named the winner of the Major Loss Award, a category evaluating operational response, technical handling, and financial capacity in settling large-scale corporate and commercial claims.
The company also won the award for Best Insurance Company in Sustainable CSR, which assesses the integration of long-term environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices into corporate social responsibility frameworks.
In addition to the category wins, First Assurance placed as the 2nd Runner-Up for the Risk Management Award, recognizing institutional risk assessment and mitigation standards.
The company achieved the same placement for Best Innovator in Inclusive and Emerging Risks Insurance, a category focused on product development for underserved markets and non-traditional risk profiles.
