NAIROBI, Kenya, June 24 – Ride-hailing firm Little Cab has integrated its corporate invoicing platform with the Kenya Revenue Authority’s Electronic Tax Invoice Management System (eTIMS), allowing businesses to automatically receive tax-compliant invoices for transport services.
eTIMS is a digital invoicing platform developed by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) to electronically capture, validate and transmit tax invoices in real time as part of efforts to improve VAT compliance, curb tax leakages and enhance transparency in business transactions.
Under the integration, corporate clients will automatically receive eTIMS-compliant invoices, reducing the administrative burden associated with manual invoicing and transport expense reporting.
Little Cab Corporate Affairs Manager Nyawira Maina said the integration is aimed at helping businesses meet regulatory requirements while improving operational efficiency.
“Businesses today require seamless and transparent systems that support both operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. By integrating with eTIMS, we are making it easier for our corporate clients to manage transport expenses while ensuring they receive tax-compliant invoices automatically,” she said.
The company said the system will improve billing accuracy, strengthen reporting processes and streamline reconciliation of transport-related expenses.
KRA Assistant Commissioner for eTIMS Tax Operations Caroline Wacuka welcomed the adoption of the platform by private sector firms, noting that wider uptake of digital invoicing systems is key to strengthening compliance and accountability.
“The integration of systems such as those used by Little Cab demonstrates how technology can simplify compliance for taxpayers while improving the integrity and transparency of business transactions,” she said.
The development comes as businesses across Kenya increasingly adopt digital tax systems following the nationwide rollout of eTIMS, which has become a central component of the government’s strategy to modernise tax administration and improve revenue collection.
Little Cab said the integration forms part of its broader effort to enhance corporate mobility solutions while supporting national initiatives aimed at strengthening tax compliance through technology.
