The official launch of Easy Taxi took place on Saturday afternoon through an Amazing Race-like competition that saw 60 participants race head to head in 5 challenge zones across the city.
Founded in April 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Easy Taxi is a global pioneer in online taxi services. The application connects taxi drivers and passengers, allowing them to experience a fast, convenient, and safe ride, with just a tap of a button. Currently available in over 28 countries and 200+ cities, including Nairobi, the app has globally redefined taxi booking.
Each team had 4-5 members who were provided with a task to carry out in different parts of the city in the shortest time possible. Some of these tasks included boat riding, wine sampling and salad preparation in a restaurant, narrations in the middle of the city center, marriage proposals and much, much more! Teams traveled quickly from challenge zone to challenge zone by requesting a cab via the Easy Taxi application.
