NAIROBI, Kenya, July 22 – Cryptocurrency platform Bitget has rolled out its blockchain education initiative in Kenya, targeting youth with digital finance skills through its global Blockchain4Youth campaign.
The Kenya Community Education Day, held in downtown Nairobi, brought together over 110 participants—including students, first-time crypto users, and digital influencers—for hands-on training on blockchain basics, crypto wallets, and the evolving role of Web3 in global finance.
Led by local blockchain educator Mathendu, the session demystified digital currencies and wallet types, aiming to bridge the knowledge gap among young people interested in the crypto space.
Bitget says Kenya’s growing youth population and expanding digital economy make it a key target for its education drive, which has already reached other countries in Africa and Asia.
The company launched Blockchain4Youth in 2023 with a $10 million fund to support education, workshops, and university partnerships globally.
With rising interest in blockchain applications across East Africa, Bitget’s Nairobi training is part of broader efforts to equip local communities with skills needed to participate in emerging digital economies.
