A devastating fire has destroyed the main stage at the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, just two days before the event is set to kick off.
On Wednesday evening (16.07.2025), festival organizers announced that the beloved main stage had been “severely damaged” in the blaze. Thankfully, no one was injured, though the cause of the fire remains unknown.
Tomorrowland, one of the world’s biggest electronic dance music festivals, is scheduled to begin this Friday (18.07.2025) in Boom, a town just south of Antwerp.
The fire broke out at around 18:00 local time on Wednesday, and videos shared on social media showed thick, grey smoke billowing from the site.
Despite the disaster, organizers have assured festivalgoers that the event will continue as planned. The campsite will open on Thursday, and efforts are underway to find alternative solutions for the weekend’s performances. However, the festival will go ahead without the iconic main stage, which has been a central feature for years.
The festival is expected to draw a crowd of 400,000 over two weekends, with some of the biggest names in EDM, including David Guetta, Lost Frequencies, Swedish House Mafia, and Charlotte De Witte, all set to perform.
