NAIROBI, Kenya Aug 22 – President William Ruto has said political leadership in Kenya should no longer be about insults, slogans and political attacks.

Ruto said leaders should instead be judged by their track record, plans, vision and programmes.

Addressing a gathering at Scott Christian University, the President urged leaders to focus on delivering tangible results for Kenyans.

“we have raised the bar of leadership it is no longer about insults or slogan it is about a track record a plan, an agenda and a program. The people of Kenya will assess every leader on account of their track record, on account of their plan and their vision,” Ruto said.

He said citizens will ultimately determine which leaders have worked for them and which ones have relied on insults, chaos, hatred and political intrigue.

Ruto also called for unity, saying Kenya has no room for leaders who seek to divide citizens.
