Ed Sheeran Drops Play-Inspired Fashion Capsule with KidSuper

Ed Sheeran is stepping into the world of fashion with a capsule collection inspired by his new album Play.

The 34-year-old pop star teamed up with New York-based label KidSuper to create a line of T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, and hats priced between $35 and $150. The collection launched Thursday (September 11) at KidSuper’s Brooklyn studio, just a day before Play hits streaming platforms worldwide.

Sheeran said collaborating with KidSuper founder Colm Dillane was a natural fit.

“I’ve loved working with Colm on this capsule collection,” Sheeran told WWD.

“When we first started talking, I realized we share a lot of similarities in the way we approach our work. The feel of KidSuper mirrors what my new album Play is all about. I love the spirit of the pieces we’ve designed—it’s all fun, and Colm has helped bring the joy and freedom of Play to life. We’ve had a lot of fun creating this, and I’m really pleased I got to do it with KidSuper.”

Balancing act

The launch doubled as part of Sheeran’s promotional push in New York, where he’s been balancing album buzz with setting the record straight about his living situation.

Earlier this month, the Shape of You star clarified speculation that he was moving permanently to the United States. On Instagram, Sheeran explained:

“I’m not moving, I’m going on tour with my family and relocating to the continent I’m touring on. Don’t wanna commute from London to San Diego, obvz. Also this isn’t a tax thing—it’s USA, not UAE. I’ll always pay tax in the UK coz that’s where I live. Play out Friday—go listen to it x.”

Sheeran, who recently bought a £9 million property in New York, still spends most of his time at his Suffolk estate in England with wife Cherry Seaborn and their daughters Lyra and Jupiter.
