APRIL 11 – Dettol has partnered with Ambulex, an emergency healthcare provider, to improve hygiene standards in ambulance services across Kenya.
The partnership will see Dettol supply discounted hygiene products for use in ambulances and support hygiene education for emergency medical workers and the public. The goal is to prevent infections and improve patient safety during emergency response.
Speaking during the launch, Reckitt Kenya Country Manager Mustapha Bugaje said ambulances play a critical role in healthcare but can also spread infections if proper hygiene is not maintained.
Ambulex CEO Judith Oketch said the collaboration will enhance ambulance readiness and raise public awareness about the link between hygiene and health. Fifty Dettol-branded ambulances will be deployed as part of the initiative.
The partnership supports Kenya’s Emergency Medical Care Policy 2020–2030 and aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 on good health and well-being.
