NAIROBI, Kenya, June 29 – China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has been awarded the main construction contract for Jabali Towers, a mixed-use development in Tatu City comprising residential apartments, offices, a hotel and retail space.
The development will cover about 88,000 square metres and include 25-storey and 36-storey residential towers, a 150-room hotel, Grade A office space, and 35 shops and restaurants.
According to Tatu City, the first residential tower is already 75 percent pre-sold to local and international buyers. Apartment prices start from Sh9.7 million.
CRBC, which is also involved in the construction of Talanta Sports City and other infrastructure projects in Kenya, will oversee delivery of the development.
The project is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs during its construction and operational phases, with employment opportunities extending to the hotel, retail outlets, offices and property management.
The development is supported by existing infrastructure within Tatu City, including road networks, water, electricity and fibre connectivity.
Future phases of the mixed-use project are expected to include additional commercial and residential developments.
Tatu City, a Special Economic Zone in Kiambu County, hosts more than 110 businesses and thousands of residents, with ongoing investments in housing, education and commercial real estate.
