ASK Tech Ventures launches ODIGO platform to improve field operations in Africa

NAIROBI, Kenya Sep 12 – ASK Tech Ventures has launched ODIGO CMS in Africa, a digital platform designed to help businesses manage, monitor and measure sales, marketing and other field operations carried out by teams working across multiple locations.

The platform is intended to give businesses a central view of activities carried out by sales teams, promoters, merchandisers, field agents and other distributed teams, including information on what was done, where and when it was done, and whether it met the required standards.

ASK Tech Ventures Founder and CEO Vikas Mehta said the platform is being introduced to address challenges businesses face when operations expand across different cities and countries.

“As businesses scale, the distance between the person making the decision and the person executing it becomes a real management challenge,” Mehta said.
He said ODIGO is intended to improve the flow of information between management and teams operating in the field.

“We are bringing ODIGO to Africa because we see a very practical opportunity to give businesses greater visibility and control over that last mile of execution. The objective is simple: help management move from assumptions and fragmented reports to better information and better decisions,” Mehta added.

The launch comes as businesses across Africa increasingly use digital technologies to manage their operations. According to the GSMA, mobile technologies contributed $240 billion to Africa’s economy in 2025, equivalent to 7.8 per cent of the continent’s GDP, while Kenya’s information and communication sector grew by 4.8 per cent in the same year, according to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.

However, digital adoption among businesses remains uneven. World Bank research cited by ASK Tech Ventures indicates that although digital technology is associated with higher productivity, sales and employment, African firms continue to lag behind their peers in the intensity with which they use digital tools for business operations.

ODIGO CMS was developed by TalentBridge Technologies and has already been deployed in markets in South and Southeast Asia. The system brings planning, workforce management, field activities, evidence collection and reporting together on one platform.

TalentBridge Technologies Founder Gaurav Shukla said the company intends to expand the platform beyond the markets where it was initially developed.

“TalentBridge is committed to taking ODIGO beyond the markets where it was first developed and building a truly global platform,” Shukla said.

He added that the companies had worked together to prepare the platform for the African market.

“We have worked with the team at ASK to make sure the platform is ready for Africa and are excited about its potential. Africa represents an important next chapter for ODIGO, and ASK is the right partner to help us realise that opportunity,” Shukla said.

The platform can be applied in sales and distribution, retail execution, brand activations, merchandising, field research, audits and other operations involving teams spread across different locations.

ASK Tech Ventures said the system will provide businesses operating across multiple jurisdictions with a central view of field activities instead of relying on separate updates from different teams and partners.

“Africa’s businesses are scaling, and scale creates complexity,” Mehta said. “The opportunity is to use technology to make that complexity more manageable, to give leaders a clearer picture of what is happening across their operations and enable them to act on it faster.”

ASK Tech Ventures and TalentBridge Technologies will initially target businesses with significant field operations. The two companies also plan to work with local businesses and partners as they adapt ODIGO to the needs of African markets.

The rollout therefore places the focus on a specific operational challenge for businesses expanding their reach: maintaining visibility over teams and activities that are physically separated from decision-makers. ODIGO is positioned as a tool for bringing those activities, together with their supporting evidence and reports, into a single digital system.
