NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 7 — Anti-Narcotics detectives have arrested three suspects in connection with drug trafficking in Nairobi.
Two of the suspects were apprehended on Thursday morning in Nairobi’s Uthiru area, where detectives recovered drugs believed to be heroin.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said Friday, one suspect, Selestino Inee, 32, was allegedly caught with 222 sachets of the highly addictive drug stashed in his jacket while using a motorbike to deliver to potential clients.
Inee then led detectives to the house of his suspected accomplice identified as Pepriter Kadenyi, 44, where more of the drug was found.
Also recovered was dry weed with a street value of Sh100,000 wrapped in a manila shopping bag and two digital weighing scales.
The arrest of the duo followed an operation in neighboring Riruta Satellite on Wednesday where the detectives recovered 13 sachets of cocaine from one Vincent Amufa, 40.
The three suspects are currently in custody at Muthaiga police station pending their arraignment in court next week on Tuesday.
