The 5ft 11” football giant visited Kisumu this past weekend (10.11.2018).
During his tour of the lakeside town, he opened the Betika store and engaged in a pepeta challenge with a young footballer. Gaucho also made a courtesy call to Governor Anyang’ Nyongo’o ‘s office. Seating with Deputy Governor Matthew Owili the two discussed the growth of sports in the county and the potential for growing local talent.
Gaucho is hailed as one of football’s greatest players, representing Brazil internationally 73 times. The father of one has recently faced charges in his home state of Brazil for mounting debt. According to The Sports Bible, ” the 38-year-old retired Brazilian footballer has unpaid debts up to €2 million… and a judge ordered for his passport to be seized due to the money he owes” only days before his visit to Kenya.
