NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 24 – Sidian Bank has reported a 502 percent jump in net profit to Sh1.73 billion for the year ended December 31, 2025.
The lender posted Sh287 million in profit during a similar period in 2024.
The growth was driven by higher interest and non-interest income, with net interest income rising by 54.4 percent to Sh4.4 billion, while non-interest income surged by nearly 129 percent to Sh3.8 billion.
Customer deposits grew by 63 percent to Sh72.3 billion, while the loan book expanded by 10.7 percent to Sh27.5 billion.
The improved performance follows the exit of Centum Investment Company from the bankβs ownership after selling its stake in Bakki Holdco Limited, a non-operating holding company.
The transaction was completed after receiving regulatory approval from the Central Bank of Kenya.
