NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 29 – Shabana FC missed the chance to climb to second in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League standings after being held to a 1-1 draw by newcomers Migori Youth FC in Nakuru on Thursday.

The Gusii-based side sit sixth on six points after four matches, having registered one win, two draws and one defeat.

Migori Youth, meanwhile, remain unbeaten but are still searching for their first victory of the campaign. They occupy 13th place on three points after drawing all three of their matches.

Irungu Maina put Shabana ahead on the stroke of half-time, giving the Glamour Boys the advantage as they pushed for maximum points.

However, Churchill Otieno restored parity for Migori Youth in the 75th minute, with neither side able to find a winner as the match ended in a stalemate.

Elsewhere, Mathare United claimed their first win of the season despite playing with 10 men, edging Tusker FC 2-1 at the Machakos Stadium.

Police FC also registered their first victory of the campaign after seeing off Ulinzi Stars 1-0.
