MAY 22 – The eighth edition of the Sahihi Swara Green Race and Walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2025, taking place at Gatatha Farm in Kiambu’s lush coffee and tea estates.
The event, which blends fitness, environmental conservation, and community support, will begin at 7:00 a.m. at Cianda High School and conclude with an awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
Participants will navigate a scenic route through the highlands, with the registration fee set at Sh1,000.
Funds raised will go towards several social and environmental initiatives, including university education grants for bright but needy students, permaculture training to enhance food security, and the conservation and planting of fruit trees, particularly around Sitatunga habitats.
Bingwa Homes CEO Njihia Njoroge is expected to flag off the race, which is gaining popularity for its unique combination of sport and sustainability.
The event also offers an opportunity for families, fitness enthusiasts, and conservation supporters to engage with nature and give back to the community.
