Morgan Heritage and Patoranking shoot video for collabo in Kenya

Reggae Royalty Morgan Heritage are Jamaicans by blood, they are Africans at heart and in their music too.

Two of world’s best stars: Best Reggae Group Morgan Heritage and Nigerian Dancehall King Patoranking have met in Nairobi, Kenya for the video shoot of Morgan Heritage’s first single of 2019 with Patoranking titled “Pay Attention.”

Morgan Heritage and Patoranking are in the Maasai Mara for the last part of the video after shooting part of the video at Two Rivers Mall Tribe Hotel and Village Market and at Onyx Lounge at Marsabit Plaza.

Comprising of Gramps, Mojo and Peetah Morgan while in Kenya, which has been their base many times while they visit Africa, Morgan Heritage will be meeting with various African artists like Kenya’s Naiboi and recording new collaborations, set for release in 2019.

In 2017, Morgan Heritage worked with Bongo Star Diamond Platnumz on a track titled “Hallelujah” that was banned in Tanzania but is a hit nonetheless with over 10 million views on YouTube. Last year the “Nothing To Smile About” hitmakers released another mega-hit titled “Africa Jamaica” with Diamond Platnumz and Ghana’s StoneBwoy.

The Grammy Award-winning reggae group has been on their Africa Jamaica tour which is part of Morgan Heritage’s mission to unite sounds from Africa and the Caribbean through powerful music and cultural crossings. “Africa Jamaica” is the lead single off Morgan Heritage’s upcoming album set for release in 2019.

Morgan Heritage is a reggae band formed in 1994 by five children of reggae artist Denroy Morgan, namely Peter “Peetah” Morgan, Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan. In two decades, they have had a number of successful reggae albums like Abracadabra and Strictly Roots.
