Met department issues flash floods alert in Northeastern Kenya

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 25 – Kenya’s Meteorological Department has issued a flash floods alert in Northeastern Kenya.

According to a statement, the department listed Loglogo, the Malgis River in Marsabit, and the Marsabit-Isiolo road as the areas most adversely affected.

The agency also added that rainfall will be expected to continue in various parts of the country, with isolated storms likely in the Central Highlands and North-eastern Kenya.

The department is urging residents to exercise caution.
