NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 3 – Marketing and Communications firm Ogilvy Africa has appointed Howard Gregory as Managing Partner for its Nairobi office effective November 14.
Gregory will head the firm’s Public Relations and Influence (PR&I) and will report to Ogilvy Africa’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vikas Mehta.
He joins Ogilvy from UK-based public relations and marketing consultancy firm Edelman where he held various leadership roles in strategy and business development.
Commenting on the appointment, CEO and PR&I for Ogilvy EMEA Joanna Oosthuizen noted that the firm is excited to have Gregory onboard as he boasts an experience of over 25 years in communications.
“I look forward to working with him across the EMEA region to continue growing our PR and Influence business in Sub-Saharan Africa. I know that his appointment will help to bolster our strategic capability and our overall value to our clients,” said Oosthuizen.

His appointment is part of Ogilvy Africa’s strategic investments to strengthen its leadership position in Africa.
Gregory has previously worked in diverse roles at different firms including Diageo and General Electric among other top communications agencies.
He has also won accolades at Cannes and other notable global award shows.
