Gachagua Tells Ruto to Stop Blaming Uhuru for Kenya’s Problems

NAIROBI, Kenya Aug 23 – DCP Leader Rigathi Gachagua has challenged President William Ruto to stop blaming retired President Uhuru Kenyatta for problems facing the country.

Gachagua said Ruto should instead take responsibility for challenges arising during his administration.

“I want to tell you, William Ruto, I am here at Gatundu, at the home of President Uhuru Kenyatta. Please leave President Uhuru Kenyatta alone. Uhuru Kenyatta did not cause the problems you are facing. You brought these problems upon yourself,” the former DP said.

He questioned why Ruto continued to invoke Uhuru’s name in political debates instead of addressing problems facing Kenyans.

Gachagua also accused the government of undermining the rule of law and allowing violence and intimidation to become common in the country.

He claimed that criminal gangs and politically connected groups were attacking citizens in different parts of Kenya.

“It was not Uhuru Kenyatta who told you to kill the Gen Z youths. He did not tell you that. Uhuru Kenyatta left you a country that was standing. There was rule of law. You have suspended the rule of law. Kenya has become a country of thugs and goons, who are attacking people everywhere,” Gachagua noted.
