NAIROBI, Kenya, March 12 – The liquidator of the troubled Awe Diaspora Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited has issued an official notice regarding the admission of claims.
Susan Ong’ondi, who was appointed as the liquidator, has set May 5, 2025, as the final deadline for shareholders and creditors of the society to submit their claims.
In the Gazette Notice No. 2861, Ong’ondi urged individuals and organizations with claims to address them to her office either by mail or via hand delivery to Social Security House, Block “A”, Western Wing, 17th Floor.
“I urge all stakeholders to submit their claims before the deadline to ensure a smooth and fair process for everyone involved,” said Ong’ondi.
The notice further stated that the submission of claims will commence immediately, with all claims required to be lodged before the stipulated deadline.
“This is a critical time for the members and creditors of Awe Diaspora Society to come forward and have their claims formally acknowledged.”
This move follows the society’s ongoing liquidation process, which has affected its operations and left many members and creditors seeking restitution.
Shareholders and creditors are encouraged to take immediate action to ensure their claims are processed.
