NAIROBI, Kenya Jun 18 – A person has died after falling from one of the buildings at Aga Khan University Hospital, the hospital has confirmed.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the hospital said the individual fell from one of its buildings and was pronounced dead following the incident.

The hospital did not disclose the identity of the deceased or provide further details about the circumstances surrounding the fall, citing ongoing investigations.

“Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, can confirm that an individual fell from one of our buildings and sadly passed on,” the hospital said in its statement.

The hospital indicated that authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“The hospital is cooperating with the relevant authorities as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the matter,” the statement added.

Aga Khan University Hospital expressed sympathy to the family and loved ones affected by the tragedy.

“We are deeply saddened by this incident and extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones,” the hospital said.

The facility also appealed to the public to respect the privacy of those affected as investigations continue.

The hospital urged members of the public to allow investigators to carry out their work and avoid speculation.

“We kindly request that the privacy and dignity of the family, our patients, and staff be respected as the investigations continue,” the statement read.
