The world of professional wrestling is mourning the loss of one of its most legendary figures.
Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, has reportedly passed away at age 71 after suffering cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home.
According to reports, paramedics were called Thursday morning, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Just two months ago, Hogan had undergone a neck fusion surgery, the latest in a long series of health issues.
He rose to superstardom in the 1980s and became the face of WWF (now WWE), headlining the first nine WrestleManias and turning wrestling into a global entertainment powerhouse. With his red-and-yellow attire, booming voice, and unmatched charisma, he became a household name—and the first true wrestling superstar.
In the ’90s, he reinvented himself in WCW as the villainous “Hollywood Hogan,” founding the New World Order (nWo) and reshaping wrestling once again.
Hogan was a 12-time world champion and a two-time WWE Hall of Fame inductee, once for his solo career and again as part of the nWo.

He was married three times, first to Linda Claridge (1983–2009), then to Jennifer McDaniel (2010–2021), and most recently to yoga instructor Sky Daily, whom he wed in 2023. He is survived by his two children from his first marriage: daughter Brooke and son Nick.
