NAKURU, Kenya, June 18 -Vivo Energy Kenya, the exclusive licensee of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in the country, successfully hosted the Vivo Energy Agriculture Conference 2025 at the Midlands Hotel in Nakuru.
Held on Wednesday, the event brought together over 100 stakeholders—farmers, agribusiness leaders, processors, regulators, and equipment manufacturers—under the theme: “Smarter Farming, Stronger Future – Powering Profitable and Sustainable Agriculture.”
Agriculture is the backbone of Kenya’s economy. Vivo Energy Kenya reaffirmed its commitment to powering growth in the sector by unveiling Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) tailored to agribusiness needs.
The company spotlighted the newly launched Shell fuel formulation, which adds up to 15 extra kilometres per full tank—ideal for farmers and transporters aiming to cut operational costs.
Shell Lubricants also took centre stage. Experts demonstrated how their products help lower the total cost of ownership by extending equipment lifespan, and mproving fuel efficiency, among others.
The conference featured a diverse lineup of technical and policy experts. OEM suppliers showcased advanced farm machinery, underscoring that mechanisation—combined with efficient fuels and lubricants—is key to boosting productivity.
Attendees engaged with exhibitors, including Cons-Syn Lubricants Ltd, a supplier of food-grade lubricants critical for post-harvest and processing operations.
These hands-on sessions provided practical insights on compliance, hygiene, and equipment performance in the food value chain.
The day concluded with actionable insights on operational efficiency, cost-saving innovations, and sustainable farming technologies.
Delegates left the forum equipped with strategies to improve their agribusinesses through smart energy and equipment solutions.
