Verto named among UK fast-growing tech firms

NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov 13 – Verto, a UK-based fintech that facilitates cross-border payments for businesses, has been listed among the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the United Kingdom in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 UK 2025 rankings.

The recognition highlights the company’s rapid expansion and its increasing role in Africa’s digital payments ecosystem, particularly in Kenya, where it supports businesses conducting international transactions and foreign exchange operations. Verto’s platform connects firms to more than 200 global markets and processes over $25 billion in annual transactions.

Verto CEO and co-founder Ola Oyetayo said the ranking affirms the company’s growing impact in emerging markets. “This recognition reflects our commitment to solving cross-border payment challenges for businesses,” he said, noting that Kenya remains central to the firm’s African operations as it works with SMEs, exporters and fintechs involved in regional and global trade.

He added that Verto’s growth is tied to its mission of reducing friction in international payments and supporting businesses seeking to expand across borders. The company says simplifying global transfers is vital for enabling African economies to participate more competitively in international markets.

As part of its support for Africa’s digital economy, Verto continues to invest in initiatives aimed at strengthening innovation on the continent. Its annual Verto Awards spotlight high-impact startups working on cross-border payments, forex solutions and digital commerce. This year’s ceremony will take place on November 27 in Nairobi.

Oyetayo said the awards are designed to equip emerging entrepreneurs with visibility and resources needed to scale digital solutions.

Kenya remains a strategic hub for Verto, which works with local banks, fintechs and corporates to streamline international transfers and currency exchange. The firm is also exploring additional partnerships in the country as it expands its footprint across Africa.

Verto says its focus on reducing barriers to cross-border payments positions it to play a growing role in supporting Africa’s economic integration and digital transformation.
