R. Kelly is “fighting for [his] f***ing life”, amid his ongoing sexual abuse case.
Grammy winner Kelly was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse by Cook County’s State Attorney Michael Avenatti last month, following allegations made by a host of women – some of whom were allegedly underage – in the Lifetime docu-series ‘Surviving R. Kelly’.
The interview which is the first for Kelly after being released out on bail as reported by The Sauce, saw the emotional singer slam the allegations as untrue, insisting he “did not do this stuff”. In an emotional clip posted by CBS Evening News on Twitter on Tuesday (05.03.19) ahead of the full interview – which will air on CBS This Morning on Wednesday (06.03.19) – Kelly said: “I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my f***ing life.”
In the riveting interview with CBS anchor Gail King, Kelly pointed out his critics keep bringing up his past court cases where he was acquitted twice and continue to use them against him during the ongoing cases. He said: “I beat my case. When you beat something, you beat it. We can’t double jeopardy me like that. It’s not fair … When you beat your case, you beat your case.” However, the prosection lead Lawyer Michael Avenatti reacted to the interview, pointing out that Kelly’s emotions were masking his fears. He took to Twitter to say:

When King continued to ask about allegations that the RnB star held several women captive, Kelly defended himself saying “that’s stupid…just use your common sense. Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me… how stupid would it be for me with my crazy past and everything I’ve been through…oh you think I need to be a monster and chain them up in my basement…I didn’t do this stuff.”
As R. Kelly’s full interview on CBS This Morning is set to air on Wednesday (06.03.19) at 7am EST, Twitter has lots to say to Kelly’s emotional interview. Some tweeps went on to point out that Kelly’s answers lacked truth.

The Lifetime docuseries ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ was released in January where several women came forward with allegations of sexual abuse against Robert Kelly. Since then, R.Kelly has had 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse brought against him. Kelly was previously arrested for child pornography in 2002 when he was 35 and then acquitted six years later. As reported by The Sauce, the ‘I Admit’ crooner is next scheduled to appear in court on 22nd March 2019 after a female friend Valencia Love posted bail on behalf of the father of three.
