Singer and reality TV star Ray J is getting candid about what led to his split from Kim Kardashian.
In a new explosive interview, the father-of-two and RnB icon Brandy’s younger brother alleges that he split from Kardashian, 41, because she ‘stole’ money from his family. “Apart from them stealing money from my family, we would probably still be together now. But when that happened, I said I don’t want to be sleeping around with you no more – you stole money from my family. So that’s why we stopped speaking,” He says.
The two reality stars, both 41, dated from 2003 to 2006 and met when Kardashian worked as Ray J’s famous sister, Brandy. Before the pair split in 2006, Brandy and Ray J’s mom Sonja Norwood sued Kim and sister Khloe Kardashian for allegedly using up to $120,000 in anauthorized purchases off of Brandy’s Ammex credit card. The money was reportedly used to stock up the sisters’ clothing store, DASH and Smooch.
Ray J called out Kim and her entire family and accused them of using him for a storyline on their new hit Hulu series, The Kardashians. In one of the episodes, Kim and Ray J’s infamous sextape resurfaces and the mother-of-four is seen having an emotional breakdown. They allege that Ray J’s management team contacted Kim threatening to release unseen footage of the tape, an accusation that Ray J called false.
