Postponed Coachella Festival to debut a YouTube Documentary on April 10th

The Coronavirus pandemic has led to the cancellation and postponement of many events across the globe.

Early last month as reported by The Sauce, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival which is arguably the biggest annual music festival in North America announced the postponement of both weekends of its April 2020 events to October 2020 after the emergence of COVID-19 in America.

Now, Coachella organizers have teamed up with YouTube to put together a documentary film that will chronicle the festival’s history and place as a game-changing entity in live music and concert culture since it first launched in 1999.

Entitled, ‘Coachella: 20 Years In The Desert’, the film project will premiere via YouTube on April 10th, the same day which its first of two weekends was scheduled to take place.

Since beginning in 1999 with an inaugural lineup that included Beck, Rage Against The Machine, Tool, The Chemical Brothers, Morrissey, Pavement, Moby, Thievery Corporation, Medeski, Martin, & Wood, and more, Coachella has grown to an industry-leading event which has held numerous big-time moments in pop culture over the years.

From debuting the Tupac Shakur hologram in 2012 to the semi-reunion of Guns N’ Roses and LCD Soundsystem in 2016, the history-making Beychella by singer Beyonce Knowles in 2018, Coachella presented seen its fair share of headline-worthy moments which will be explored throughout the film.
