NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 22 – Pop in market traders at city market have been given one month to regularize their faction.
This was arrived after filling a meeting between the Nairobi City County Executive for Business and Hustler Opportunity Rosemary Kariuki with the leadership of City market and pop in markets at City Hall.
The meeting sought to resolve the ongoing dispute of unfair trading between the two factions.
During the meeting it was also resolved that pop in markets would operate on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 6 am to 12 pm.
“We want all businesses to thrive but we must dialogue and find a way to accommodate one another for the sake of prosperity of our city,” CEC Kariuki stated.
In attendance were County Chief Officer Security and Compliance Tony Kimani, Chief Officer public participation Lydia Maitha and Director markets Joyce Kyengo.
