NAIROBI, Kenya, June 25 – M.P. Shah Hospital says it is cooperating with investigations by the Social Health Authority following the temporary suspension of its contract to provide services to beneficiaries under the Social Health Insurance Fund.
The hospital said it has launched an internal review to establish whether patients were charged for services that should have been covered under SHIF.
It added that patients affected by the suspension are being assisted, including through transfers to other SHA-contracted facilities where necessary.
The suspension comes as SHA steps up scrutiny of healthcare providers over billing practices and compliance with requirements under the national health insurance scheme.
