NAIROBI, Kenya, June 19, 2026 – Kenya Pipeline women’s volleyball team made a commanding start at the 26th Genocide Memorial Tournament, sweeping aside hosts Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) in straight sets on Friday morning.
The team showcased their quality and experience, overpowering the hosts 25-17, 25-18 and 25-18, a dominant performance that set the tone for their tournament ambitions.
Coach Geoffrey Omondi’s charges controlled proceedings from the opening whistle, combining solid defence, clinical attacking play, and disciplined execution to take all three sets and secure maximum points from their opening fixture.

The victory provides a strong foundation for the African Club Championship bronze medallists as they continue their quest for honours in Kigali.
