Brandy Norwood and Heather Graham star as Jackie and Charlotte, two college friends who unintentionally end up spending Christmas together. From the sound of her holiday letters Jackie’s life seems perfect and Charlotte doesn’t buy it- and is determined to prove that her friend’s life can’t be quite as perfect as she makes it out to be and may ruin Christmas in the process where to watch Netflix.
Dashing through the snow
This Disney+ original, stars Chris Bridges ‘Ludacris’ a social worker for the Atlanta police department with an aversion to Christmas due to a negative childhood experience. On Christmas Eve he goes on an adventure with his estranged daughter that will ultimately help him remember the magic of the season.
Genie
A family comedy from Richard Curtis, Genie is a remake of the 1991 British TV movie called Bernard and the Genie. In this fairy-tale story, Bernard (Paapa Essiedu) a man who has lost his job and is on the verge of losing his family as well accidentally awakens a genie who has been trapped inside a jewelry box for centuries played by Melissa McCarthy. While she helps him sort his life, he introduces her to the modern world.
The Velveteen Rabbit
The Apple TV children’s classic tells the tales of a stuffed rabbit that wants to become real through a mix of animation and live-action and it has a voice favorite cast who lend their voices like Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughan, Helena Bonham Carter, and Paterson Joseph.
Family Switch
Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms star in the Netflix comedy about a couple doing their best to keep the family unit together as their two children, Emma Myers and Brady Noon grow older and more distant. But then, a chance encounter with an astrological reader causes the family to wake up to a full body switch…on the morning of the most important day of each family member’s life.
Candy Cane Lane
Eddie Murphy stars in this Amazon Prime Original, as a man who is desperate to win his annual neighborhood contest to determine who the best has decorated home for the holidays. This one ups the ante by adding a magical spin: Murphy makes a deal with an elf and suddenly the ’12 days of Christmas’ are brought to life which causes problems for the whole town.
`The Holdovers
Directors by Alexander Payne, The Holdovers, and centers on Paul Giamatti a boarding school teacher who is disliked by both students who have to remain at the boarding school during the holiday break in the 1970s because they have nowhere else to go. Will they, plus the head of the school cafeteria manage to find the holiday cheer together? Where to watch: In theatres.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever
Fans of the Wimpy Kid book series- can watch a new, full-length animated adaptation of Greg Heffley’s misfortunes. This time Greg’s holiday takes a turn for the worse when he gets snowed in with his family over vacation and he’s concerned that Santa won’t bring him what he’s been wanting for Christmas.
Merry Little Batman
In this full-length animated movie, when Batman is called by Justice League to go fight crime on Christmas Eve, his son, Damian Wayne uncovers a plot by Gotham villains to steal Christmas. Damian has to find out if he can handle some crime-fighting on his own.
