Four more golfers edge closer to Somabay Amateur Golf World Cup after good results in Kericho
Action at the fourth leg of the Somabay Amateur World Cup qualifiers in Kericho.

NAIROBI, Kenya, June 22, 2026 – Picoty Koskei claimed the overall title at the fourth leg of the Road to Somabay Golf Series at the Kericho Golf Club over the weekend.

Koskei carded 44 Stableford points to take top spot ahead of Edmond Samoei, who posted 42 points in the closely-contested competition.

In Division 1, Adrian Monari walked away victorious after carding 36 points, returning a gross score of 87 while compiling seven pars and seven bogeys.

Parminder Hunjan finished second on 35 points.

Patrick Cheruiyot captured Division Two honours with an impressive 39 points, while Elijah Rono finished a close second on 38 points.

The day’s best gross score belonged to Ignatius Ngetich, who returned an outstanding 79 to claim the Gross Winner title.

Following the leg, Koskei, Samoei, Monari and Cheruiyot have secured their slots to the grand finale of the qualifiers, where they will battle other golfers for the chance to represent Kenya at the Somabay Amateur Golf World Cup in Egypt in September this year.
