A key highlight of the exhibition is the two leading Kenyan artists, Peter Elungat and Adrian Duma. Elungat is renowned for his distinctive visual language and compelling storytelling. He will unveil a new body of work that explores various themes including identity, memory, and contemporary African life through richly layered compositions and emotive narratives. Duma will display dynamic new paintings that showcase his innovative approach to form, texture, and expression. His work invites viewers into imaginative spaces where reality and abstraction converge, affirming his growing presence within the contemporary African art landscape.

Together, Elungat and Duma offer Ghanaian audiences a rare opportunity to experience new work from two of East Africa’s most exciting artistic voices. More than an exhibition, East Meets West: A Love Story represents a powerful example of what intraAfrican cultural partnerships can achieve. Through the collaboration between Nafasi and Peak Art Gallery, the project seeks to strengthen artistic networks, encourage meaningful cultural exchange, and create new opportunities for African artists to engage wider audiences.
