NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 9 – All club bouncers will be required to pay taxes as the Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA) rolls out a sensitization campaign.
Sections 21 and 28 of the Private Security Regulation Act require all private security service providers to be vetted, registered, and licensed.
To encourage compliance, PSRA has announced the mandatory nationwide security vetting, training, and license of bouncers, bodyguards, event stewards, and door supervisors.
Others are event security, VIP protection, close protection, and crowd control security personnel.
“In this regard, the Authority has organized a sensitization forum at the Sarova Stanley Hotel on Wednesday, 17th January 2024 at 8:30 A.M,” PSRA said in a letter dated January 8, 2024.
“The forum is free of charge, however for ease of planning you are required to confirm your attendance through our email.”
