Bitget expands Kenyan investor access with tokenized U.S. stocks, RWAs

NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 23 – Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has rolled out tokenized stocks for Kenyan traders, offering exposure to leading U.S. companies through its Onchain platform in partnership with xStocks.

The integration gives local investors blockchain-based access to tokenized shares of multinational firms such as Apple, Tesla, and Amazon, bypassing traditional brokerage channels.

Bitget has also joined Ondo Finance’s Global Markets Alliance, a coalition working to standardize tokenized securities and expand real-world asset (RWA) adoption.

Kenyan traders will now be able to invest in more than 100 tokenized equities, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and money market funds.

The exchange highlights advantages such as 24/7 trading, lower entry barriers through fractional ownership, and transactions in Kenyan shillings without forex restrictions.

“Tokenization is the next frontier in finance, allowing everyday investors in Kenya to access Wall Street with ease,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.

“Our xStocks and Ondo integration marks a leap forward in giving Kenyans diversified, borderless asset exposure.”
